The Secondaro rules

1. The 10 rules

1. You sell what you have. One listing, one item. Photos taken by you, of your item, as it looks now.
2. You tell the truth. Defects are written in the description and shown in the photos. You name a brand only if it is genuine.
3. Fair price, shown clearly. Before paying, the buyer sees the price, the protection fee and the shipping. Nothing changes afterwards.
4. Everything through the platform. Payment and shipping go through Secondaro. That is what makes Buyer Protection exist. Payments outside are not covered and break the rules.
5. You ship within 5 working days, with our label, well packed. Otherwise the order is cancelled automatically and the buyer gets their money back.
6. You check the parcel within 2 days. After delivery you choose "All good" or "I have a problem". If you choose nothing, the order is confirmed automatically.
7. The money reaches the seller after confirmation. Until then it stays with the platform. On a problem, we decide on the evidence, within 48 hours of it reaching us.
8. You are polite. No insults, harassment, spam or adverts in messages and reviews. You can block anyone.
9. You are who you say you are. 18 years old, one account, true details. If you sell as a business or in series, switch to a Pro account.
10. You report what is not right. A forbidden listing, a counterfeit, a scam: press "Report". We look at every report and answer.

2. What you can sell: the 9 branches

1. Women: clothing, footwear, bags, accessories, cosmetics only new and sealed.
2. Men: clothing, footwear, accessories, grooming products only new and sealed.
3. Kids: clothes, footwear, toys, pushchairs and car seats, children's furniture, feeding items (bottles only new), school supplies.
4. Home and garden: furniture (for adults too: sofas, tables, beds, clean mattresses), decorations, textiles, tableware, lighting, garden tools, pet accessories, large and small appliances.
5. Electronics: phones, computers, tablets, audio, photo, TVs, consoles, smart home. Wiped of personal data, unlocked from accounts, not stolen.
6. Books and media: books, magazines, music, films, video games on physical media.
7. Hobbies and collectibles: coins, stamps, trading cards, figurines, antiques, board games, musical instruments, craft materials, model making, stationery, costumes and decorations.
8. Sports and leisure: fitness, bicycles (including electric) and scooters, camping, winter and water sports, ball sports, fishing, skates and skateboards.
9. Car, motorbike and tools: car and motorbike parts, tyres and rims, accessories, motorcyclist gear, power and hand tools, plumbing and installation materials (new).

Bicycles, adult furniture, car parts and tools can be sold here too. They are things that deserve a second life.

3. What is forbidden

The listing is removed, and on repetition the account is closed. You get the decision with its reasons and you can appeal it (see Moderation).

1. Weapons and dangerous objects: firearms, bladed weapons (ordinary kitchen knives and pocket knives are allowed), air guns, pepper sprays, stun guns, fireworks, explosives, realistic replica weapons.
2. Medicines and medical products: prescription and over-the-counter medicines, supplements, vitamins, medical devices, contact lenses, medical tests, veterinary products.
3. Tobacco and vaping: cigarettes, tobacco, e-cigarettes, liquids, smoking accessories, nicotine products.
4. Drugs and paraphernalia, including CBD or cannabis products.
5. Live animals and live plants (seeds and bulbs are allowed), products from protected species (ivory, exotic animal furs), trophies.
6. Counterfeits: any item with a fake brand or that you are not sure is genuine.
7. Tickets and gift cards: event and travel tickets, vouchers, gift cards, coupons, game or subscription codes, virtual currency.
8. Opened cosmetics: perfumes, creams, make-up and hygiene products that are used or unsealed; toothbrushes, razors with used blades; worn underwear; menstrual products.
9. Recalled products or products banned from sale in the EU, products with a swollen battery, chargers and toys without CE marking.
10. Stolen goods or goods of unclear origin, locked phones or phones with active accounts, devices with someone else's data.
11. Adult content and items of a sexual nature.
12. Hate symbols: Nazi, fascist, legionary or racist items, except history books.
13. Documents and IDs: identity cards, passports, diplomas, stamps, official uniforms and insignia (police, army, firefighters).
14. Food and drink, including alcohol.
15. Services, job offers, rentals, real estate, whole vehicles (cars, motorbikes, scooters; parts and gear are allowed).
16. Classified heritage objects (ordinary coins and banknotes can be sold), fossils and human or animal remains.
17. Commercial selling from a private account: if you sell new products in series or run a shop, you create a Pro account. The business details appear on the listing, as the law requires.

4. What a good listing looks like

• Title: 3-80 characters, says what the item is (for example "Dress size 38, green, worn twice").
• Description: up to 3,000 characters; defects are written here.
• Photos: at least 1, at most 20; JPEG, PNG or WebP, up to 15 MB each. The first photo is the main one. No photos from the internet, from adverts or with watermarks; no edits that hide defects; no other recognisable people without their consent.
• Category: the last level (for example Women > Clothing > Dresses). The required fields (size, colour, model, ISBN) depend on the category.
• Price: between 1 and 100,000 lei.
• Condition: one of the 5 levels (new with tags, new without tags, very good, good, fair).
• Parcel: you choose the class that fits the size and weight; for furniture or heavy items there are large classes and "pick up in person".

A listing from an account in holiday mode or suspended does not appear in search. A reservation for a buyer lasts 5 days; after that the listing becomes active again by itself.

5. How the rules are applied

On publishing, the app checks the form of the listing (fields, price, photos) and the photos (an automated program looks for content that is not allowed). The content rules are applied through reports from users and through moderation; decisions are explained in writing and can be appealed, as the law (DSA) requires.
