How to search, filters, favourites, following sellers, what you see on a listing page and how you buy.
How do I buy an item?
Message the seller from the listing page ("Message the seller") or, if they added their phone, call them. You agree on the price, the payment and where you meet. Payment and hand-over are directly between you: Seconda does not collect money and does not deliver.

How do I search?
Type what you want in the search box in the header: "leather jacket M", "kids bike", "iPhone 13". Search works without diacritics and forgives small typos ("telfon" finds "telefon"). It looks in the title, description, brand and category.
You can also browse by category, from "Categories" in the header or from the home page: 9 branches, over 700 categories. Lists show only active listings from sellers who are not on holiday.
What filters do I have?
Category (with everything under it), minimum and maximum price, condition, brand, size, colour, seller's country. Sort by relevance, price or newest. On a phone the filters are in a sheet that opens from the bottom; on a computer, in the left column.
The filters live in the page address: you can bookmark it or send it to someone and they see exactly the same results.
How do I add an item to favourites?
Tap the heart on the item card or on its page; tap it again to remove it. The seller sees how many people added the listing to favourites, not who. The page with your list of favourites is being built.
You get a notification when a favourite item gets cheaper (you can switch it off in Settings, under "Notifications").
How do I follow a seller?
On the seller's page, tap "Follow". Their new listings appear first on your home page and you get a notification when they publish something. The seller sees the number of followers, not the list.
Can I save a search to be told about new listings?
Saved searches with notifications are being built. Until then, bookmark the search page in your browser (the filters stay in the address) and follow the sellers who have the things you are interested in.
What do I see on a listing page?
The photos (you can enlarge them), title, price, condition, brand, size and the other details, the description, the seller (name, country, member since, their reviews if any) and similar listings. If the seller is Pro, you also see their business details.
A listing translated automatically into your language has the label "translated" and the link "see original". When in doubt the original counts: ask the seller.
What do "private person" and "Pro" mean for a seller?
A private person is someone selling their own things. Pro is a trader: a business or someone who sells as an activity; the business details appear on the listing. From a Pro seller you have the legal warranty and, when buying at a distance, the right to return within 14 days without a reason. From a private person you do not: the law gives no return without reason between two people. The full table is in the Terms and conditions.
I changed my mind or the item is not what I thought. What now?
Talk to the seller. While Seconda runs as a classifieds site, it holds no money, so it cannot refund and does not arbitrate disputes. From a Pro seller you have your consumer rights. That is why it is best to check the item before you pay. If you were scammed, see I was scammed.
